Jacksonville Florida Bed Race

November, 2005

Medical Methods takes part in City Rescue Mission's 2nd Annual "Bed Race".

On November 19, 2005 Medical Methods employees, volunteers, and Therapists (including our own Karen Walsh – OT) took part in the City Rescue Mission’s second annual “Bed Race”.  We were required to build a bed that was capable of supporting an adult and completing a city block long race in Jacksonville’s historic San Marco neighborhood. We participated in last year’s race and learned a few things about how to build and race a bed.  Although we came in second we gave it all we had!  The theme this year was “movies”, because we are part of the healthcare industry, we decided to portray the movie M*A*S*H.  We had a great time at the event and were honored to support such a great cause.
